Environmental Stewardship

To further our dedication to sustainable practices, Teledyne FLIR conducted its first greenhouse gas audit for 2019 as well as climate performance benchmarking to better manage climate-related issues, risks, and opportunities in our operations. We remain committed to employing sound environmental sustainability practices and investing in continuous improvements to our business to combat the impacts of climate change.

We understand disclosure is an essential first step to driving environmental action. As a first-time responder, Teledyne FLIR joined 9,600 companies in demonstrating commitment to environmental transparency by disclosing our climate change impact through the CDP in 2020. We also currently hold a [total Company] ESG performance rating of A from MSCI, one of the most reputable Environmental, Social and Governance indexes.

Enabling Customers

Teledyne FLIR customers are using our technology and solutions for large-scale contributions to environmental improvements, including the visualization of greenhouse gases; the research, study, and preservation of fauna and flora; and a host of other environmental phenomena.

For example, FLIR Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) cameras can detect—in real time—leaks of environmentally hazardous gases such as methane, sulfur hexafluoride, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and refrigerants. The cameras help our customers to significantly reduce the amounts of environmentally harmful gases that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere.
